Pain in the offering...

Home has been a moving target.  We have lived most of this year traveling.  In June we moved out of the home we were renting in South Africa.  We traveled to the states...celebrated our children's college graduations and enjoyed a family reunion (and got an awesome picture of all 24 of us)!  We traveled and ministered in Brazil, Australia and South Africa on a 3 month non-stop trip.  We had trips to England and Greece and got to officiate weddings in Canada and Switzerland!

Rich is writing an update that details miles traveled and nations poured into. All of this to say...we at times feel the loss of no place to call home.  We try and be pitiful, to get sympathy, to have people feel sorry for us.  It's not working!  :) What we get is a recounting back to us about our wonderful life!  How people are so wanting to travel and go on adventures!  How lucky we are we get to do all of it!

Not that we need others to remind us...we love our life and feel very privileged.  There's a line in a worship song that says "there's pain in the offering"...I think that's it.  We feel the pain of not having our own spot...yet  so glad that we get to offer, that we have something to offer, He is so worth any offering that we can give.  Hebrews 13:15-16 "through Him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God...(in the Message)...share what you have with others, God takes particular pleasure in acts of worship...a different kind of 'sacrifice'...that takes place in kitchen and workplace and on the streets."
